VW reveals T-ROC before Geneva motor show

The Volkswagen T-ROC concept will debut at the Geneva motor show next week. The chunky, raised-up crossover is based on the increasingly prevalent MQB architecture, which also underpins the Golf. VW says the T-Roc slots in below its current SUVs and it’ll even be smaller than the forthcoming Taigun.

Fuel discount proposed for rural areas

MOTORISTS in exceptionally rural areas could see their fuel bills cut by up to 5p a litre under proposals aimed at easing the burden on the UK's remotest families. The UK Government has asked the European Commission to consider seven new regions across Scotland and in a part of north-east England. Nissan are recalling a number of Qashqai, Qashqai+2 and NV200 vans in the UK after the steering wheel fell of a Qashqai in Finland. As problems with cars go, having the steering wheel fall off in your hands is not one you need to be a mechanic to diagnose. That’s exactly what happened to a Nissan Qashqai driver in  Finland who found his steering wheel had parted company with the steering column when he was parking his car.
